Louise Marshall Hospital

Updates

Construction on the Louise Marshall Hospital emergency department and ambulatory care expansion is progressing well and on track with an anticipated opening of Spring 2021.

When the expansion is complete, the overall size of the hospital will increase from 45,000 square feet to 57,000 square feet and much of the existing space will be renovated. The new space will enhance the capacity to offer services, improve infection prevent and control, increase patient privacy, improve accessibility and will provide patient care close to home for our Wellington North residents for years to come.

We ask the community to continue to practice patience as we go through construction and to follow the directional signage in place.

We thank you for your support.

We are most excited for

Sandra Hamilton

RN,
Occupational Health, Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator

I am most excited about the enhanced infection and prevention control measures that will be available in the new Emergency Department.

Dr. Ian Phillips

General Surgeon

We are looking forward to the new Ambulatory Care space. There will be more privacy and better patient flow, allowing for a higher standard of care for our Specialists to consult with patients.

Shaun Speers

RN, Oncology

Patients are grateful to be able to receive their Oncology treatments in Mount Forest and not have to travel to Kitchener. The fact that we are improving Oncology Services such as increasing our Clinic hours to 5-days a week and making building improvements really help us serve the needs of our patients.

Help us continue to
grow.
