Louise Marshall Hospital Expansion is Progressing Well
Construction on the Louise Marshall Hospital (LMH) Emergency Department (ED) and Ambulatory Care expansion is progressing well with completion of the first phase, which is space for a new Temporary Emergency Department (ED), scheduled to open on Thursday, March 5th, 2020.
The Public should be aware of the following:
Thursday, March 5th the Emergency Department will relocate within the hospital
Friday, March 6th the old Main and Emergency Department entrance will close and a new entrance will open
Saturday, March 7th Main Hospital Parking lot will close
When arriving at the hospital please pay attention to the directional signs to help guide you to your service and drive carefully through the construction area. Click the link below for a directional map that will help outline new parking locations and entrances.
We've Come a Long Way
Highlights of the new expansion are:
Emergency Department size will be growing from
1,630 sq.ft to 5,710 sq.ft.
New covered Ambulance Bay will be growing from
640 sq.ft to 1,450 sq.ft.
New medical space to support medical trainees.
The hospital expansion will improve infection
A new Ambulatory Care wing space will have an additional 7,000 net new sq.ft. that will house our new oncology space.
New main entrance into central hub to make way finding easier.
Parking will increase and we are adding a convenient patient drop-off lane.
